Founder Story

Rooted in Resilience. Made for Your Hair Journey.

I know what it means to begin again, carry responsibilities, and keep moving forward even when life feels heavy. As a mother, educator, and entrepreneur, I bring those experiences into WOZOLIFE.

I began teaching in 2003 and started my first retail business, WOZO STORE, in 2008. Both taught me to listen, understand people’s needs, and share knowledge that can make a difference in their everyday lives.

Hair care is personal to me. I know how fragile hair and breakage can affect your confidence. I understand the frustration of struggling to keep the length you’ve worked for and wondering what your hair needs.

I created WOZOLIFE with those feelings in mind. I wanted to support women through hair care and wellness essentials, useful education, and encouragement to make time for themselves, even with everything else they carry.

The name reflects the strength that has helped me through my own challenges. In Haitian Creole, WOZO means reed, a plant that bends with the wind and can rise again after the storm. To me, it is a reminder that difficult seasons don’t have to be the end of our story. We can find our footing and begin again.

WOZOLIFE carries that meaning of coming back to life. That is why our slogan is: We May Bend. But We Won’t Break.

Through our products and free multilingual Hair Journal, my mission is to help women understand their hair, build consistent routines, and regain confidence in caring for it.

As I build WOZOLIFE, I carry that purpose with me. Whether you read our Hair Journal, share a helpful post, or choose our products, you become part of this mission.

Thank you for being here and helping it grow.
